Charm Offensive

This is Sasha, my African Grey Parrot. They’re generally known for being one of the most talkative Parrots, but some talk more than others. Sasha isn’t a bird of many words, but whenever I’m leaving the house she says “Goodbye.” When I come home after being away, she whistles a three note fanfare like Trumpeters play when the King walks in (I think she got that from her favorite cartoon, SpongeBob Squarepants). At bedtime, she says “Good Night” in a gentle female voice.

Parrots are flock birds who are never alone in the wild, and for that reason they enjoy companionship and bond emotionally with their owners. Sasha likes hanging out with me; she’s always polite, and she makes me happy. Her charm has inspired me to launch a charm offensive, whereby I go out of my way to be overly polite and respectful to others at all times.
